MORE  ABOUT ME.

IN MY OWN WORDS

I was born and raised in La Plata, Argentina, with an Argentine dad and an American mom. Growing up between two cultures shaped the way I see people. It made me curious, empathetic, and aware of how much background, culture, and personal history can shape the way we relate. I started The H.U.G. Therapy Center because I wanted to create a place where people from all walks of life could feel safe. That includes couples and individuals from minority communities, different races, different religions, the LGBTQ+ community, those who’ve felt judged by the therapy world before, or those who just haven’t seen themselves represented. For me, it’s not about politics; it’s about human dignity. Everyone deserves a space where they can show up as they are and feel accepted.

Therapy isn’t just something I offer...it’s something I believe in. I know what it’s like to struggle. I know what it’s like to feel anxious, ashamed, or stuck in painful patterns that don’t seem to change, no matter how hard you try. So much of my work comes from that place of knowing how badly we all want connection, and how hard it can be when we feel like we’re falling short. I don’t approach this work as a flawless expert with all the answers. I’m not here to fix anyone. I’m here to walk alongside you as someone who knows how much courage it takes to be vulnerable, to look inward, and to risk trying something new.

I’ve been trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, which focuses on attachment...the deep, often unspoken needs we all carry in close relationships. For couples, that might mean untangling the cycle that keeps you disconnected or in conflict. For individuals, it often means understanding how past experiences shaped the way you see yourself and others. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy to help make sense of the thoughts and emotional patterns that keep showing up in your life. I won’t just teach you techniques; I’ll help you make sense of what’s actually happening inside and between you.

Outside of sessions, I’m just a regular person. I like playing board games, drawing, painting, and playing video games online with my brother. I’m probably not out hiking at 6 a.m. or reading the latest productivity book. Honestly, I’m often just trying to be a person in this world like everyone else...showing up for the people I care about, making space for joy, and learning how to take better care of myself.

If any of this resonates, and you’re feeling curious about working together, I’d be glad to talk. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to answer any questions and help you get a sense of whether this feels like a good fit.
